About the role:
As a Project Manager NDT you will be a key contributor to the development and implementation of innovative inspection methods and systems – from the concept phase through to application in the field. You will work closely with the technical management and play a significant role in the successful delivery of complex technical projects.
In the long term, the position offers the opportunity to take on leadership responsibilities and to develop into a group management role.
You will report to the Manager NDE & Special Products and be located at Mannheim.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, and execute NDT projects, including advanced and mechanized inspection techniques
- Collaborate closely with technical leadership on development, qualification, and deployment of new inspection solutions
- Coordinate and guide interdisciplinary project teams
- Ensure project targets regarding quality, cost, and schedule are met
- Identify and manage project risks and define mitigation measures
- Support technical and commercial proposal preparation
- Drive continuous improvement of inspection processes and project execution
Qualifications:
- Degree in engineering (e.g., mechanical engineering, materials science, physics, mechatronics) or industrial engineering
- 4+ years of experience in a technical environment, ideally in NDT
- Proven project management experience
- Strong technical understanding and ability to communicate complex topics clearly·
- Initial leadership experience
- Fluent in German and good English skills
