Security-Focused Backend Developer (m/w/d)

We're a team of developers who love clean code, appreciate good snacks, and are convinced that almost any problem can be solved with a well-placed commit (or, in an emergency, a fresh restart).

Here's the twist: we don’t want to build software the way we did five years ago. We want to build the next generation of our web application with AI agents in the loop every single day. Agentic coding isn't a buzzword we drop into standups – it's how we will work. We will pair with coding agents, push them well past their comfort zone, and figure out what great engineering actually means.

The catch? We refuse to let quality slide. Fast and sloppy is easy. Fast and excellent is the game we're playing – and we'd love your help raising the bar.

Your Tasks

• You design and build robust backend services in C# and modern .NET – clean, well-tested, and built to hold up under real enterprise load.

• You treat security as a first-class concern: threat modeling, secure-by-design APIs, authentication and authorization done right, and credible dependencies.

• You're the person who reviews what the AI agents produce with a security lens – catching the subtle injection, the deprecated library, the unnecessary piece of code.

• You help define what secure looks like in an agentic workflow – the guardrails, checks, and standards that let us move fast while staying compliant.

• You take real ownership of meaningful parts of the backend and ship them end to end.

• You spot the limits of our current tooling and approach, push past them, and write up what you learn so the whole team gets sharper.

• You collaborate closely with the development team, product management, and consulting, because secure software is a team sport.
  
  

Your Profile

• Solid, hands-on experience building backend systems in C# and .NET.

• Strong expertise in software security – you know common vulnerability classes (OWASP Top 10 and well beyond), secure coding practices, and authn/authz, and you reason about threats rather than just check boxes.

• A real eye for quality: clean code, sensible architecture, and fast database accesses.

• Genuine curiosity about agentic coding – paired with a healthy instinct to ask "but is that safe?" when an AI confidently hands you a commit.

• The confidence to take ownership of a central part of a product and run with it.

• You let the AI write code, but you verify, review, and never ship something you don't understand – especially where security is on the line.

• You communicate well in English. German is helpful, but absolutely not a requirement.
