Join the DHL Freight Global team as a BI & Reporting Specialist (m/f/d) at our Head Office in Bonn.

In this role, you will elevate our Data Analytics and BI landscape to drive Accelerated Digitalization, serving as the strategic interface between business needs and IT execution. Guiding our transition to a modern cloud architecture (Snowflake/Power BI), you will champion our 'Information Democratization' journey by establishing data governance, enabling governed self-service, and laying the groundwork for AI-driven predictive analytics at DHL Freight.

Your tasks:

• Strategic Business Partnering: Act as the primary interface between Business and IT, translating complex business steering requirements into clear logical models for our new Unified Semantic Layer.
• Data Governance & Ownership: Act as the end-to-end process owner and guardian of the "Single Source of Truth." Define, standardize, and govern KPI logic to ensure absolute data consistency across the network.
• Cloud & Self-Service Enablement: Support the strategic migration from legacy Oracle reporting (OAS) to our modernized Snowflake/Power BI ecosystem. Empower business users by designing governed self-service data models that allow for autonomous, multi-dimensional analysis.
• AI & Advanced Analytics Adoption: Pioneer the business application of future-ready capabilities, identifying use cases for predictive analytics, self-service, and conversational AI (e.g., Snowflake Cortex) to proactively drive business value.
• Quality Assurance & Validation: Rigorously analyze and validate data outputs to ensure high data quality, reliability, and trust in the new reporting landscape. Design and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for newly developed solutions.
• Agile Collaboration: Act as an effective contributor and business proxy within our Agile/SCRUM development pipelines, ensuring that technical deliverables perfectly align with organizational priorities and targets.
  
  
  

Our perfect match:

• You hold a degree in analytical discipline (Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, IT, or Business Administration with a strong data focus).
• You have knowledge in overland freight or broader supply chain/logistics operations, allowing you to intuitively grasp operational business needs.
• You have hands-on experience in modern BI visualization tools (Power BI is highly preferred) and a good grasp of SQL for data querying and validation.
• You possess a conceptual understanding of modern cloud data platforms (like Snowflake) and the principles of unified semantic layers and governed data models.
• You show a strong passion for the future of analytics, with an active interest in how AI, machine learning, and predictive models can be leveraged to optimize business processes.
• You are experienced in working within Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• You possess excellent stakeholder management skills (fluent in English, both spoken and written), with the ability to translate technical constraints to the business and business value to IT.
