Exciting Opportunity for Junior Scientists: Scientist, Digital PCR (dPCR) Applications Development
Join QIAGEN’s cutting-edge team driving innovation with the QIAcuity platform!
Are you passionate about molecular biology and eager to build your expertise in digital PCR technology? At QIAGEN, we’re looking for a motivated Scientist to join our dynamic Applications Development team. Here, you’ll contribute to groundbreaking interdisciplinary projects that advance how digital PCR is used in research applications.
What You’ll Do:
- Dive deep into dPCR technology by developing and optimizing new applications on the revolutionary QIAcuity platform.
- Plan and run hands-on experiments independently, while continually learning and exploring new scientific topics.
- Collaborate regularly with a diverse team of experts—bringing fresh ideas and approaches to complex challenges.
- Share your insights and discoveries by presenting internally and at high-profile scientific conferences and trade shows.
- Build your professional network by engaging with key opinion leaders and innovators in the field.
Position Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- A PhD in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related discipline.
- Solid experience with PCR techniques—including digital, real-time, and endpoint PCR—and a strong background in molecular and cell biology methods.
- Confidence in scientific communication, with strong writing and presentation skills.
- Fluency in English and German (spoken and written).
- Willingness to travel occasionally to exciting scientific events and customer sites.
- Bonus: Experience with gene expression analysis through qPCR or next-generation sequencing (NGS).
