This is a unique opportunity to join Dentsply Sirona’s global Software Engineering and Cloud Operations (SECO) team, a group dedicated to advancing digital innovation in dentistry. As the Senior Chief Product Owner (Senior CPO) for Digital Impression, based in Bensheim, you will play a key role in driving the success of Dentsply Sirona’s digital transformation. In this strategic position, you will lead the development of equipment services, device connectivity, and analytics for our cutting-edge intraoral scanning solutions—such as the Primescan 2. Your work will enable enhanced serviceability and turn complex device data into valuable insights for customers and stakeholders. As part of a global product ownership team, you will actively shape the future of digital dentistry in close collaboration with colleagues across Germany, Switzerland, and the United States.

This is a hybrid position which requires working in the office at least one day per week.

Senior CPO (m/w/d)

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Drive the strategic roadmap for connected equipment services and analytics in alignment with organizational goals.
• Vision & Execution: Create and communicate a clear, shared product vision that aligns with business priorities and customer needs.
• Stakeholder Management: Translate business requirements from diverse internal stakeholders into actionable epics and development input.
• Backlog Management: Prioritize product backlogs across multiple agile teams to maximize business value and technical feasibility.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a group of Product Owners to deliver consistent value aligned with the overall Dentsply Sirona strategy.
• Agile Champion: Foster and promote agile practices (e.g., SCRUM, SAFe) to accelerate delivery within digital transformation initiatives.
• Innovation Driver: Spearhead technical innovation in the areas of IoT, edge computing, device connectivity, and cloud platforms.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Education:
• Master’s degree, Diploma, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  
  

• Experience:
• Extensive professional background, ideally with 8 or more years of experience, in agile software development, product ownership, or project management within an R&D environment.Demonstrated expertise in requirements engineering and cross-functional product development.
• Strong background in IoT technologies (e.g., gRPC, MQTT, EDGE computing) and cloud ecosystems (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS).
• Experience delivering complex, customer-facing software products through agile methodologies like SCRUM.
  
  

• Skills:
• High level of situational awareness, leadership, and the ability to drive cross-functional team performance.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex systems into executable development initiatives.
• Enthusiasm for new technologies and an agile mindset focused on continuous improvement and business impact.
• Excellent communication skills in English; German proficiency is a plus.
  
  

• Certifications (Preferred)
• PSPO (Professional Scrum Product Owner) or equivalent certification.
• Experience in scaled agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe) is a plus.
