The positions are part of an innovative project investigating the regulation and function of Telomerase Reverse Transcriptase RNA (TERT RNA), with a particular focus on subcellular localization, intron retention, and telomerase activity in induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells.
Project Overview
The project integrates single-molecule and live-cell RNA imaging, RNA–protein interaction mapping, and CRISPR-based genome editing to elucidate the mechanisms governing TERT RNA localization and its impact on telomerase function. Both experimental and computational approaches will be employed, and applicants from either background are encouraged to apply.
Requirements
– Strong interest in molecular biology, with a focus on RNA biology.
– Background in experimental or computational biology.
– Experience with single-molecule imaging, RNA–protein interactions, or genome editing is advantageous.
– Willingness to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
– For the PhD position: a relevant Master’s degree or equivalent.
– For the Technical Assistant position: suitable technical training or experience.
