Introduction

We are seeking a PDM Development Engineer to join our Screening Business Line Technology team. You will be responsible for developing our engineering tools by identifying and enhancing current engineering practices in collaboration with our regional engineering teams and Metso IT. You will ensure that spare and ware parts are identified during the engineering process and marked in our engineering tools for aftermarket purposes. Running Proof-of-Concept tests for the proposed work methods is an important part of the role as well as making sure our legacy data created in various tools can be efficiently utilized with new tools and processes. Supporting IT in migrating and cleansing legacy data is also required. Your role plays a crucial part in supporting our Digitalization-program, which will positively impact our market share in both Capital and After Market sales. In this position, you will report to Development Manager, located in Mannheim (Germany)

This position is located in Mannheim, Germany, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. At start we will offer 12-month contract.

You will join a global team of experienced mechanical and IT engineers that strive to enhance Screening Business Lines digital capabilities by developing processes and tools that support the daily work, encouraging teamwork and knowledge sharing across our organization. We are currently working towards product-driven culture, processes and data to create new business opportunities and growth.

We work closely with internal stakeholders globally, such as Engineering teams, Metso IT, Global Product Management and Business Owners. What You’ll Do

• Identifying, developing and harmonizing ways of working for Teamcenter, Inventor and SAP S4
• Help engineering and aftermarket teams to identify and mark spare and ware parts in Teamcenter and SAP S4
• Running Proof-of-Concept test to ensure that developed processes and tools support daily work
• Support IT to migrate legacy data to Teamcenter and SAP
• Identify opportunities to improve data in Teamcenter and SAP with direct efficiency gain in our order execution teams
  
  
  

Who You Are

• Experience in design of heavy machinery or similar operations mandatory
• Strong experience in Teamcenter, Inventor and SAP mandatory
• 3-5 years relevant work experience desired
• Experience with data / document management desirable
• Capable of discussing and presenting ideas and concepts with a wide range of people with different backgrounds
• Capable of collaborating with stakeholders globally
• Previous experience in mining business is beneficial, but not required
