Position Description

  • Execute sourcing strategy defined by the respective Category Leader for the Logistics category, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution. negotiate logistics services, set-up (frame) contracts, conduct global tenders
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks within the logistics sector
  • Act as a point of contact for external and internal stakeholders. Effectively manage relationships and provide support/guidance as appropriate
  • Execute Supplier Management activities, Performance management of the Logistics supply base and its reporting within the category team, proactively drive sourcing progress
  • Analyze supply markets for the assigned sub-categories and under guidance of the category leader, involvement in global savings and KPI delivery and its reporting
  • Contribute in optimization of procurement processes within the agreed field of engagement and in alignment with global methods & tools guidance

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on logistics if possible
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills
  • English language skills (written and spoken) is essential with the ability to negotiate effectively and influence others.
  • Very strong analytical skills in MS Office and other tools with competencies in excelling data and creating reports. OR: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong “customer care” focus
  • Experience of ERP systems, ideally SAP
  • Experience in Supply Chain environment will be an asset
