Until now, solving complex planning problems—like workforce scheduling or production planning—required PhD-level expertise and months of custom coding. Our founders built companies that sold this kind of pro software to experts and powered the match schedules of the world’s largest sports leagues. Today, one of those companies is a unicorn.

Now, we’ve flipped the model.

With DecisionAI, we combine Large Language Models, a model-agnostic approach, and our proprietary HybridSolver to let business users solve complex optimization problems on their own—in real time, with no technical background.

Think: “ChatGPT meets expert-level optimization”—for logistics, production, scheduling, and beyond.

Tasks

• Help Ship the very first user-facing screens of DecisionAI. Build fast, accessible, pixel-perfect React/TypeScript pages.
• Partner closely with backend & design. Consume our Django Ninja REST API, keep state in sync, and turn Figma mock-ups into fully responsive UIs. Your feedback will shape both UX and APIs.
• Own features end-to-end. Scope a slice of the product with product/design, build it, ship it, and track the metrics that define “done.”
• Level-up developer experience. CI linting, or visual-regression tests so the whole team ships faster.
• Pair with humans and AI. Work with e.g. Cursor to accelerate coding, code review, and refactors—but, always keeping quality in your hands and guard it from day one. Write clean, well-tested code, spot edge cases early, and watch performance.
  
  

Requirements

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Media Informatics, or similar — or equivalent self-taught experience.
• Solid grasp of JavaScript/TypeScript and React (hooks, context, functional components).
• Comfortable with semantic HTML5 and modern CSS; familiarity with utility-CSS frameworks like Tailwind is a plus.
• Basic understanding of CSR vs. SSR; some exposure to Django or another Python web framework.
• Experience with Git and pull-request workflows; you write at least a light dose of automated tests.
• Fluent in English (spoken & written); German is a plus.
• Startup mindset: you show initiative, take ownership, and thrive on shipping and iterating quickly.
• Nice to Have:
• Hands-on work with REST / OpenAPI backends, especially Django Ninja or FastAPI.
• Interest in design systems, accessibility, or performance budgeting.
• Personal or academic projects you can share (GitHub, portfolio, etc.).
