Position Description
This role serves as QIAGEN's primary technical interface with our injection-molded plastics suppliers, addressing quality, methods, supply, and cost-related topics. Key responsibilities include:

Position Description
This role serves as QIAGEN's primary technical interface with our injection-molded plastics suppliers, addressing quality, methods, supply, and cost-related topics. Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as a technical partner for production and quality questions across internal teams and suppliers (e.g., QIAGEN proprietary component designs and injection-molded tools)
- Aligning QIAGEN's plastic component demands with suppliers’ capacity over short-, medium-, and long-term planning horizons
- Evaluating product/process deviations and advising on corrective/preventive actions; handling complaint cases and supporting their resolution
- Support in development of acceptance criteria, inspection and measurement procedures and quality matrices
- Coordinating with QIAGEN specialists to address supplier-facing challenges, such as new processes, tools, and regulations
- Leading or supporting digitalization projects to enhance workflow efficiency, improve data quality, and reduce costs
- A technical or engineering background, such as a Bachelor's degree in Production, Industrial, or Plastics Engineering (or equivalent experience). Knowledge of injection molding processes is helpful but not essential. Strong problem-solving abilities are required
- Fluent communication skills in both English and German (written and verbal).
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and represent QIAGEN effectively at suppliers, engaging appropriate resources to resolve issues
- Experience in quality systems (e.g. QC methods, test matrices, corrective action reports etc.) in a manufacturing environment
- A structured, logical work approach with the ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks effectively. A strong drive to complete tasks and close out issues
- Familiarity with advanced material processing technologies and industry standards through connections with industry players, associations, or exhibitions
