Summary

We are looking for a “Senior Solutions Software Architect (f/m/d)” for the “Divisional Design Authority” at the Ulm site as soon as possible.

The Senior Solutions Software Architect is a member of the divisional Design Authority and is responsible for ensuring that the software architectures of the various projects of the Multi Domain Solutions division follow the divisional strategies and serve the requirements of System Solutions. He/she actively coordinates content, strategies and solutions with the Corporate Design Authority and other divisional design authorities.

Your Tasks

• Design and implementation of software architectures for complex systems and applications - both as a group-wide solution and explicitly project-specific
• Creation of divisional software roadmaps and definition of architecture and design guidelines in coordination with program and product roadmaps, taking into account overarching strategies
• Ensuring the division's result targets in terms of time, cost & quality, SW architectures and SW roadmap
• Creation of divisional software roadmaps Orchestration between the various divisional SW roadmaps, program requirements and corporate strategies
• Coordination of concepts and designs with the Corporate Design Authority and other divisional design authorities
• Professional selection of additional SW architects for Group-wide solutions
• Analysis of requirements, derivation of concepts, technical documentation and presentation of architecture decisions
• Identification and evaluation of new technologies and tools to improve development processes
• Ensuring the scalability, security and maintainability of software solutions
• Mentoring and support of other architects, conducting code reviews and ensuring compliance with best practices in software development
  
  

Your Profile

• Completed studies in computer science, software engineering or a comparable qualification
• At least five years of practical experience in software development, including at least three years in a role as a higher-level software architect
• Extensive experience with programming languages such as Java, C#, Python or similar
• Experience in stakeholder management and persuasive skills
• Experience in agile software development (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) Sound knowledge of modern and modular software architectures (e.g. microservices, cloud architectures) Scrum, Kanban)

• Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
• Strong communication skills, especially in conveying and visualizing complex technical concepts in a target group-oriented manner
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to collaborate in interdisciplinary teams
