Evident Technology Center Europe GmbH (ETCE), based in Münster, Germany, has been developing and producing intelligent software and hardware solutions for microscopy as a global "Center of Excellence" for over 35 years. Originally, ETCE was part of Olympus Corporation. Olympus spun off the business unit in April 2022 and transferred the business activities of its Scientific Solutions division to the newly founded, independent company Evident.

Headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, Evident employs around 4,500 people at a total of 57 locations worldwide, where it develops, produces and distributes Olympus brand products and is constantly expanding its product portfolio. Evident offers a wide range of microscopy systems for clinical diagnostics, life science research and industrial applications. In addition, Evident develops and produces videoscopes, products for non-destructive material testing and devices for X-ray fluorescence analysis.

As Director (m/f/d) of Agile Software Development, you will lead and develop our local software teams in Münster, working closely with global R&D centers – especially in Tokyo – to deliver secure, innovative, and regulatory-compliant solutions that make a real difference in healthcare

• Lead and manage local software and test teams, ensuring best-in-class development and documentation.


• Champion Agile practices across teams and drive the organizational transformation.


• Oversee integration of AI into development processes.


• Coordinate with international R&D stakeholders on complex medical software projects.


• Improve development workflows with focus on compliance, security, and continuous delivery.


• Promote safety and sustainability awareness in your department.

  Advanced degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or similar

  
  


• 
  

  10+ years of software development experience

  
  


• 
  

  5+ years leading development teams

  
  


• 
  

  Expert in Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban)

  
  


• 
  

  Strong coach and mentor with a focus on team development

  
  


• 
  

  Fluent in English (negotiation level); Japanese is a plus

  
  


• 
  

  Willing to work on-site in Münster at least 2-3 days/week

  Open to travel to the US and Japan 1–2 times per quarter
