Job Description

Be a key player in our ambitious global mission to revolutionize modern cell production through cutting-edge IoT and connectivity solutions. We’re building a state-of-the-art platform that connects our industry-leading instrument portfolio - and we need your expertise to bring it to life. As part of a passionate, agile team, you will play a key role in shaping and evolving our Cell Factory Software and in designing a feature-rich, multi-device cockpit that goes beyond the lab - delivering real-time insights anywhere they're needed.

• You will translate architectural visions into robust, scalable code and serve as link between our software architect and the development team.
• You will collaborate closely with fellow developers, offering support and sharing expertise while helping to shape innovative solutions for integrating internal and external systems.
• You will explore emerging technologies, build new features, and continuously improve the functionality of our connectivity devices.
• You will deliver clean, maintainable, and high-performance software in C++ (ideally C++17 or newer); you will design and maintain APIs, protocols, and data formats that ensure seamless interoperability across systems.
• You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams - from IT and QA to Marketing and Customer Service - in an international, dynamic environment.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• You have successfully finished your academic education in Computer Science, Natural Science (e.g. Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics) or similar.
• You have proven professional experience in a role similar to the one described above. You have an excellent understanding of service-oriented software development and experience in developing software for connectivity, integration or synchronization.
• Furthermore, you need to have exceptionally good knowledge of modern C++ (preferably C++17 or newer) and be interested in continuing to develop in this language.
• Ideally, you have knowledge of the following technologies: Typescript, Go, message-based systems like NATS or MQTT, cloud technologies and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. However, we are also open to candidates who are eager to learn these technologies.
• You have excellent problem solving and communication skills and fluent English (at least on level B2), German would be a plus. Your agile mindset enables you to break down requirements and design them into manageable increments and pieces.
